How good is that! A recent report from SimplyHealth in Britain was released this month and it talks about how attitudes, policies and behaviours have changed in the past year toward corporate and workplace health.
Is the Swine Flu? The global recession? More pressure on business? A reality shock about what really matters? Whatever the reason this can only be a good thing and 60% of HR professionals have noticed that health programs have become significantly more important in the past year with 40% saying health’s a key influence in employee retention and recruitment.
So budgets have increased to spend on employee health and well being. A third of companies surveyed said they would spend more money on workplace health – this figure has doubled since last year!
